Lets head out into the machinery house and have a look around.
The first thing you notice is how clean and orderly everything is.

Draglines work in a dirty and very dusty environment, unfortunately dust and dirt can damage electronics and electrical components.

To keep this from happening, air is drawn in from behind the machine and filtered, This air is then forced into the machinery house under pressure. By having the air inside the machinery house at a little higher pressure than the outside environment, any opening in the housing would have air blowing out of it, so that the dust would never have a chance to enter.
