Spade Crossing !

The silver spade, shown here crossing Rt. 519
  Saturday, April 7th, 2001.

After a year long "break" the spade has finally been put back into action.
To tell you the truth, I (along with quite a few others) was beginning to wonder if the spade was ever going to make it back onto the coal.  The Recent damage ( the dipper broke), and the low demand for coal from the area had me a little worried.  Thankfully, the future is looking a lot brighter for the spade now.  I've heard estimates of a 4 to 5 year supply of coal in the new pit,  I hope that this also means a minimum  of 4 more working years for the spade.
