This Page 728 was owned by the "RIVER HILL COAL CO." The
machine operated at their "New Garden Mine" located near
Pottersdale, PA, where it operated for several years. Tho the best of
my knowledge, the machine dates back to around 1960 or 61. these Pics
were taken in November 1984 by Jim Kizina, whlie visiting the machine
to take measurements for a new Brake Band for the machine. Jim's not
sure of the current status of the machine, but has indicated that it
may have been scrapped in the min 90's. |
