Once dumped
it is crushed into no bigger than 2" lumps and loaded unto a
conveyor belt to the coal storage silo.
The hopper
cars are then loaded automatically from the 15, 000
ton coal storage silo. Black Thunder ships so much coal they
have an underground 100,000 ton auxiliary storage facility. The
golden rule is always have plenty of coal ready to load the trains.
