Recent news about the Silver Spade The dust has settled, and the spade goes back to work.  Photo: David hopper After the dust had settled, the spade went back to work. To see this machine working at night is just an incredible sight.  Since it's located away from town, the only sounds you hear, other than the crickets, are the sounds of the spade digging. Bear in mind that this machine is electric.. so there isn't any "exhaust noise" just the hum of the cooling fans, the sounds of the dipper and cables, and the crashing of the rock onto the spoil pile.
