thinking
that the spade would still be setting by the road, i headed up to
cadiz Saturday, may 5th. However, when I arrived, the spade wasn't
where I expected it to be. It was working its way down a ramp into
the new pit. As it turns out, they completed repairs and
started moving again on may 2nd.
When
I arrived, I spoke to a Consol employee, he said that the spade was
still about 50 feet above the coal. She would continue to ramp
downward to the level of the coal, then would turn and dig out the
ramp, exposeing the coal beneath it.
